Will Livingston

Senior Pastor

Will trusted Jesus as Lord and Savior when he was eight years old. He surrendered to preach the Gospel when he was fifteen and has consistently served in vocational ministry since he was eighteen. Will began pastoring Mathiston FBC in March 2023.

He and his wife, Laura Claire, are both from Houston, MS. They have been married since 2018. They have one biological son, Weston, and they are also foster parents.

Will earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Blue Mountain Christian University (Blue Mountain College) and a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Currently, he is studying to obtain a PhD from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

During downtime, Will enjoys reading, writing, disc golf, playing guitar, and spending time with family. His greatest passion is helping others.

Brandon Hughes

Minister of Music

Brandon trusted in Jesus as Lord and Savior in his college years. He soon after accepted the calling to vocational ministry. Brandon began serving Mathiston FBC in June 2024.

Brandon met his wife, Hanna, at Blue Mountain College where they attended school. They have two boys, Jonathan and Samuel, and have also fostered several children.

Brandon earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Blue Mountain College in Music. He finished his Master of Arts degree in Worship Leadership from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.

Brandon enjoys writing and playing music, running, playing the switch with his boys, talking with his wife.

Landon Powell

Student & Children's Minister

Landon trusted in Jesus as his Lord and Savior at the age of nine years old. He surrendered to ministry at fourteen years old, and has served as a student minister since 2021.

Landon, from Clanton, AL, is married to Merrin Powell, from New Hope, MS. They met at Blue Mountain Christian University in 2020, and have been married since May of 2022. At BMCU, Landon earned his bachelors of science in Christian Ministry. Landon and Merrin have been a part of Mathiston FBC since June 2022. He now attends New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in pursuit of a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry.

Landon enjoys spending time with his wife, Merrin, his friends, his family, playing sports, as well as helping the local high school sports teams. Landon is passionate about building relationships with students and seeing them grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Pam Williams

Secretary

Pam was saved when she was sixteen years old at her home church, Reed's Chapel Baptist Church in Stewart, MS. She began working as a ministry assistant at Mathiston FBC in October 2001.

She and her husband, Tom Jack, have been married for forty-five years. They have three children, three daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren.

During her spare time, Pam enjoys walking, cooking, reading, spending time with her family, and watching her grandchildren play sports and cheer.
